A wholesome twist on a classic treat—this naturally sweet candy bar blends rich, antioxidant-packed dark chocolate with chewy medjool dates and a crunchy medley of mixed nuts. Free of refined sugar and filled with fiber, healthy fats, and minerals, it delivers indulgent flavor with nourishing benefits. Perfect as a guilt-free dessert or an energizing snack on the go. Ingredients:
- Mixed nuts – 1 ½ cups (≈180 g)
- Dates (pitted/seeded) – 1 ½ cups (≈240 g)
- Agave syrup (or honey) – 1 tbsp (15 mL / ≈20 g)
- Dark chocolate chips – 1 ½ cups (≈270 g)
Steps to make it:
- In a food processor, combine the nuts, dates, and agave syrup until they resemble small grains.
- Press the mixture onto a small glass dish. Press it down with a spatula very firmly.
- Chill the mixture in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
- Take the mixture out of the glass dish carefully without breaking it.
- Cut the nut square in half. Then cut each half into 6 bars.
- Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals.
- Dip each nut bar in the melted chocolate and chill in the fridge until the chocolate is solidified.
