 Ingredients:

  • 1kg (2 pounds) of pork ribs
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) soy sauce
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons rice wine (mirin)
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Vegetable oil, for grilling
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 Steps to make it:

  1. In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, gochujang, honey, brown sugar, rice wine, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame seeds, and chopped green onions. Mix well to create a marinade.
  2. Season the pork ribs with salt and pepper, then add them to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove the marinated pork ribs from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  5. Place the ribs on the preheated grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are nicely charred and cooked through. Baste the ribs with the remaining marinade while grilling to enhance the flavor.
  6. Once cooked, transfer the grilled ribs to a serving platter and garnish with additional chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve the Korean-style spicy pork ribs hot with steamed rice, Homemade Kimchi, and other Korean side dishes for a complete and authentic dining experience.
